Small selection of fragrance, no atmosphere. Staff too task focused. Only open until 5pm, difficult when working.

Peebles branch: I shop here Monday - Thursday every week and always have a great experience. some banging deals and great staff 10/10 would recommend shopping there for beauty products and treats if in the area. Located on the high street in a great location that's hard to miss!

I passed the window of the shop and was looking at the perfume there was a gift box displayed and the manager of the shop opned it for and showed me the inside, fab customer service, all the girls are lovely friendly and will go out of there way to help you

On bank holiday Monday 27th August I went into my local semichem after seeing an advert in their window for Vera Wang princess perfume on sale for £9.99,great deal I thot as usualy around £26,so I popped in and purchased same as well as chocolate,crisps and when I asked salesperson where painkillers where, she grunted "on back shelf"so as I turned round to go to back of shop,I saw i was the only customer,but all 5 staff looking at me?I went and got painkillers i asked if I could buy 2 or 3 boxes,1 staff member practically ran into back of shop whilst others watched what I was doing, and bit puzzled I went back to till whilst staff whispered and stared at me,it was then I felt very uncomfortable as I realised that they thought I was doing something wrong.I can only assume they thought I was shoplifting,as I am a support worker within the community with an impeccable work and moral ethics record I am deeply offended and when I spoke to sales person at till and explained that I brought all my clients to that shop and shopped there myself and felt I was being treated like some kind of shoplifter,salesperson said"oh really ".I know shops have to be aware of security but I can assure you this is overkill to the extreme.I will shop elsewhere even though we like to promote shop local I will not expose myself or others to the same experience.

I love a wee shop in semichem in Coatbridge all the staff are very friendly and polite nothing is ever a bother I was in today as I normally am at least once a week and staff couldnt be more helpfull always keep you up to date with the deals and bargains and is always a pleasure to shop here was served by Margaret today who was very pleasant and friendly..

Rude staff, completely ignored me whilst I was at the till. They were too busy on their phone and shouting and swearing to each other to even acknowledge that customers were waiting. I set the stuff down and walked out. Will avoid dungannon branch in future.

Very helpful staff and good selection of items in store. Always go there first before anywhere else as you're guaranteed a good deal.

I’ve never actually submitted a review before - but felt I really had to today.

I was in the Largs branch of Semi Chem around 2.45pm this afternoon. There’s a young, tall male sales assistance there, who is always helpful and friendly, but was getting blasted by a wee female member of staff in front of customers.

To be fair, I am not sure what what the young man had done wrong - but it was so unprofessional to see him getting such a hard time from the wee woman. And to be fair to him, he took it from her - which is more than I would have done.

I don’t like to see situations like this - it made me feel uncomfortable just witnessing this and came across as bullying.

I am a frequent customer of my local semi chem and am always met with friendly,polite,helpful staff :) the lady at the checkout asked me nicely to refrain from sitting my hand bag on top of the crisps display in front of the till. I hadn't realised I had and felt that this was the reason I return often, as the quality of goods is always to a very high standard due to an enthusiastic and high standard of work ethic. Very happy with the store and products.

Left standing at checkout for 5 minutes, whilst 2 cashiers stood with their back to me, discussing the cigarette display. After a couple of minutes, another member of staff appeared, noticed there was someone at tills so walked away. Another member of staff came from stockroom and told both ladies there was a customer. Without even looking around, one said 'I'll be there just now' by this point I was furious and told them to forget it.
Disgusting customer service.
